The interactive map shows live sea temperatures for the whole world's oceans – tap any beach or point for its current temperature, a 10-day forecast and monthly averages. 174+ destinations are also featured as curated beach pages with photos – built for travellers, swimmers, surfers and divers.

Where our data comes from

Sea surface temperature
NASA MUR – a 1 km global satellite analysis (NASA JPL).
10-day forecast
The Copernicus Marine (CMEMS) ocean model, anchored on today's NASA MUR reading.
Monthly averages (climatology)
ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis, over a rolling 5-year window.
Weather & air temperature
Apple Weather.
Ocean currents
Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS).
Sea ice
AMSR2 satellite concentration on a ~3 km grid (ASI algorithm, University of Bremen), updated daily.
