About White Beach
White Beach is the four-kilometre arc of powder-fine coralline sand that made Boracay world-famous – so heavily used that the Philippine government closed the island for six months in 2018 to rebuild its sewage system. At the northern tip, Puka Beach gathers its namesake shells along a quieter, undeveloped cove, while Bulabog Beach on the east coast hosts the country's main kitesurf and windsurf scene. The Sulu Sea holds 28–29 °C year-round, the calm Amihan season runs November to May and Caticlan airport sits fifteen minutes by jetty and boat.
