About English Harbour
English Harbour cuts deep into Antigua's south coast around Nelson's Dockyard, the only continuously working Georgian-era naval yard in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2016, with Shirley Heights Lookout watching over the entrance from 150 metres up. Pigeon Beach lies a short walk west of the dockyard with calm, snorkel-friendly water, while Galleon Beach faces it across the harbour mouth, reached by water taxi or a thirty-minute hike. Sea temperatures hold between 28 and 29 °C82 and 84 °F all year, with V.C. Bird International airport thirty-five minutes north.
