About Flamenco Beach
On the Caribbean island of Culebra, Flamenco Beach curls a mile of white sand around a reef-sheltered horseshoe lagoon, with two rusting US Navy tanks marooned at the western end – relics of the bombing range the community drove out in 1975. A short hike east leads to Playa Carlos Rosario and its offshore snorkel reef, while Playa Tamarindo, quieter on the north shore, hosts nesting sea turtles. Sea temperatures hold 28–29 °C year-round; San Juan airport sits about 90 minutes away by ferry and road.
