About Maho Beach
On the Dutch side of Saint Martin, Maho Beach sits directly beneath the approach to Princess Juliana International Airport, where wide-body jets clear the chain-link fence by twenty metres before touching down on the runway. The 250-metre strand is the plane-spotting anchor of the Caribbean; west around the headland, Mullet Bay curves into a calmer golden crescent, and Simpson Bay stretches south past the marina. Sea temperatures hold between 27 and 29 °C81 and 84 °F year-round, with the calmest swimming from March through June.
