About Ko Phi Phi Don
The Phi Phi archipelago lies in the Andaman Sea off Thailand's southwestern coast, where Ko Phi Phi Don rises 186 metres at its viewpoint above the isthmus splitting Tonsai Bay from Loh Dalum Bay. Day-boats cross to Ko Phi Phi Leh for Maya Bay, the cliff-walled cove from the 2000 film The Beach, while Long Beach on the south shore stays softer and fronts a fringing reef. Sea temperatures hold between 28 and 30 °C82 and 86 °F year-round, with Krabi airport about 90 minutes away by ferry.
