About Bocas del Toro
Bocas del Toro sits on Isla Colón in Panama's Caribbean archipelago, anchored by Isla Bastimentos National Marine Park – the country's first marine reserve, declared in 1988 across 13,226 hectares of reef, mangrove and leatherback turtle beach. Red Frog Beach on Bastimentos takes its name from the strawberry poison-dart frogs in the jungle behind, while Playa Estrella on the island's northwest tip stays shallow and turquoise with red cushion starfish in the shallows.
