About Seven Mile Beach
Grand Cayman's western shore is fronted by Seven Mile Beach, a 6.3-kilometre strip of coral-fine sand sheltered from the easterly trade winds and edged by a reef that drops into the Cayman Trench just offshore. Across the island to the north, Rum Point opens onto a hammock-strung bay calmer still, while Smith Cove tucks a snorkelling pocket between low limestone bluffs on the southern coast. Sea temperatures hold between 28 and 29 °C82 and 84 °F from July through September, with Owen Roberts International ten minutes by road from George Town.
