About Crane Beach
On the windward southeast tip of Barbados, Crane Beach curls below a 24-metre limestone cliff topped by The Crane Resort, opened in 1887 as one of the Caribbean's oldest seaside hotels. The sand carries a faint pink blush from pulverised coral, and the Atlantic rolls in with shore-break waves that draw bodysurfers more than swimmers chasing calm. Sea temperatures hold between 26 and 29 °C79 and 84 °F year-round, peaking from August to October, with Grantley Adams airport 20 minutes by road.
