About Cayo Largo (Cuba)

Cayo Largo del Sur is a 25-kilometre cay in the Canarreos Archipelago off Cuba's south coast, run as a closed all-inclusive enclave with no permanent population, a Granja de Tortugas sanctuary protecting green and hawksbill nesting sites, and resident iguana colonies. On the southwestern tip, Playa Sirena curves two kilometres of powder-white sand into sheltered shallows, while Playa Paraíso forms a smaller palm-fringed cove just to the north. Sea temperatures hold between 28 and 29 °C year-round, with Vilo Acuña airport ten minutes from the resort strip.
