About Pink Beach
Pink Beach lies on the east shore of Komodo Island inside the UNESCO-listed national park, its sand tinted soft salmon by crushed red Foraminifera coral mixed into the white shell grit – a colour found on only a handful of beaches worldwide. Further north along the same coast, Long Beach runs a longer, quieter pink-sand stretch, while neighbouring Padar Island Beach lies below the famous three-bay viewpoint on the island's 300-metre ridge. Sea temperatures hold between 27 and 29 °C81 and 84 °F across the entire year, fed by the warm Indonesian Throughflow.
