About Palma de Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca curves around its broad southern bay, anchored by La Seu, the 14th-century Gothic cathedral whose buttresses drop straight to the Parc de la Mar. Playa de Palma stretches six kilometres of pale sand east of the old town, while smaller Cala Major sits west of the marina with calmer water and a quieter promenade. Sea temperatures rise above 24 °C from late June through September, and Son Sant Joan airport lies 15 minutes from the centre.
