About Benidorm
Benidorm holds the highest concentration of skyscrapers per capita in the world, with the 186-metre Gran Hotel Bali still ranking as Spain's tallest hotel and anchoring the Costa Blanca skyline. The white-balconied Mirador del Castillo, built on the foundations of a medieval fort, splits the seafront between Playa de Levante to the east – 2 kilometres of lively promenade – and the mellower, family-friendly Playa de Poniente stretching 3 kilometres west. Sea temperatures climb to 25–26 °C77–79 °F from July through September, with Alicante airport 45 minutes by road.
