About San Vito Lo Capo
On Sicily's northwest tip, San Vito Lo Capo sits beneath Monte Monaco, a 532-metre limestone peak that rises directly from the village and draws sport climbers to its vertical faces. Cala Mancina hides as a small cove west toward the cape's lighthouse, while Cala Capreria opens the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro, Italy's first nature reserve declared in 1981 and reachable only on foot. Sea temperatures hold between 25 and 27 °C from July through September, with Trapani-Birgi airport fifty minutes south on the SS187.
