About Cabo San Juan
Cabo San Juan del Guía anchors Colombia's Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, a rocky Caribbean cape topped by a hilltop wooden hammock cabana between two crescent coves, with the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta rising to 5,775 metres just 42 kilometres inland. La Piscina, a reef-protected pool west of the cape, is the park's safest swim, while Arrecifes further east runs rougher with steady rip currents. The Caribbean stays at 28-29 °C82-84 °F year-round, reached only by a two-hour jungle hike from El Zaino.
