About Boulders Beach

On the False Bay side of the Cape Peninsula, Boulders Beach sits within Table Mountain National Park, where roughly 3,000 endangered African penguins have colonised the coves between 540-million-year-old granite boulders since 1982. Just north, Foxy Beach offers boardwalk views over the main penguin colony with no swimming, while Seaforth Beach opens a sheltered sand strand suited to families. The Indian Ocean here warms to 18–22 °C from December through March, with Cape Town International airport 45 minutes by road.
