About Doha
Doha rises along the Persian Gulf as Qatar's capital, its Corniche curving toward the Museum of Islamic Art – I.M. Pei's stacked-cube island design from 2008, completed at age ninety-one after a 13th-century Cairo fountain. Katara Beach sits inside the Cultural Village beside a restored dhow harbour, while Khor Al Adaid, the UNESCO inland sea ninety kilometres south, lets ocean waters push directly into desert dunes. Sea temperatures climb to 32–34 °C from July through September; Hamad International is fifteen minutes from West Bay.
