About Corniche
Jeddah's 30-kilometre Red Sea promenade is anchored by King Fahd's Fountain, a 312-metre jet of seawater gifted to the city in 1985 and still the world's tallest, visible from anywhere along the coast. The central Corniche Park beach doubles as an open-air sculpture museum with Henry Moore and Joan Miró works, while Obhur Creek pushes north into a sheltered inlet ringed by resorts. Sea temperatures climb to 30-32 °C86-90 °F from July through September, with King Abdulaziz International airport 30 minutes by road.
