About Tawila Island
Egypt's Red Sea Riviera centres on Hurghada, a 40-kilometre resort strip whose offshore showpiece is Giftun National Park – an archipelago of coral-fringed islets protected since 1995 and reached by 40-minute boat from the city marina. Mahmya Beach occupies the largest island's main shore with its open-water day club, while Orange Bay tucks into a smaller cove of postcard-turquoise shallows and powder-white sand. The sea holds 27–29 °C81–84 °F from July through September, with Hurghada International airport fifteen minutes by road.
