About Tel Aviv
Tel Aviv fronts the Eastern Mediterranean with the White City, a UNESCO-listed quarter holding roughly four thousand Bauhaus and International Style buildings put up by German-trained architects in the 1930s – the densest such ensemble on Earth. The 14-kilometre Tayelet promenade strings together thirteen named beaches: northern Hilton Beach draws surfers, dog-walkers and the LGBTQ crowd, while Banana Beach south toward old Jaffa stays mellower. Sea temperatures climb to 27–28 °C from July through September, with Ben Gurion airport 25 minutes inland.
