About Nissi Beach
Cyprus's southeastern Famagusta coast frames Nissi Beach, where a knee-deep sand spit lets you wade roughly fifty metres across to the small offshore islet that gives the bay its name – the island's most photographed shoreline. Two kilometres west, Makronissos Beach links three sheltered coves backed by Mycenaean rock tombs; east of the resort strip, Konnos Bay tucks turquoise water into a pine-flanked cove below Cape Greco. Sea temperatures climb to 26–28 °C79–82 °F from July through September, with Larnaca airport forty-five minutes by the A3 motorway.
