About Lindos
On the east coast of Rhodes, Lindos is anchored by its Acropolis, a fortified hilltop 116 metres above the village where the Temple of Athena Lindia, rebuilt in the 4th century BC, meets a 14th-century wall added by the Knights Hospitaller. Below the cliff, Saint Paul's Bay closes around an almost circular turquoise cove with a small chapel, while Lindos Beach curves along the main bay to the north. Sea temperatures sit between 25 and 27 °C77 and 81 °F from July through September, with Rhodes Diagoras airport about an hour by road.
