About Antalya
Antalya anchors the Turkish Riviera where the Taurus Mountains drop into the Mediterranean, and the walled Roman-Ottoman quarter of Kaleiçi still wraps its harbour in Hadrian-era stone. West of the centre, Konyaaltı Beach runs several pebbled kilometres beneath the cliffs, while east of the marina the long sandy Lara Beach stretches past the resort strip. Sea temperatures climb above 26 °C79 °F from June through September, and Antalya Airport sits roughly twenty minutes from the old town by road.
