About Golden Sands
Seventeen kilometres north of Varna, the northern Bulgarian coast curves around Golden Sands Nature Park – 1,320 hectares of oak and lime forest hugging seafront cliffs, with the rock-hewn Aladzha Monastery carved into a 25-metre limestone bluff at its inland edge. Kabakum Beach holds a quieter cove of fine sand south of the main resort strip, while Sunny Day Beach shelters between headlands on the hotel side. Black Sea temperatures climb to 23–25 °C73–77 °F from July through September, peaking in August, with Varna airport 25 minutes by road.
