About Pula

At the southern tip of Istria, Pula is anchored by the Pula Arena, a 1st-century Roman amphitheatre measuring 132 by 105 metres whose three arcade tiers still stand intact — one of only six of its size to survive from antiquity. Five kilometres south on the Verudela peninsula, Havajska Plaža fills a former limestone quarry with lagoon-blue water, while Pješčana Uvala offers a rare sandy cove suited to families. Sea temperatures hold between 23 and 25 °C from July through September, with Pula Airport fifteen minutes from the centre.
