About Mancora
Máncora sits at 4° south on Peru's far northern Pacific coast, the one stretch where the warm Equatorial Counter Current overrides the cold Humboldt upwelling that chills the rest of the country's shoreline. Five kilometres south, Vichayito strings boutique lodges along an open sweep of golden sand, while Las Pocitas in between is named for the natural rock-pools that fill at high tide. Sea temperatures hold between 23 and 25 °C year-round, peaking 25-26 °C from February to April.
