About Paradise Island
Just across the bridges from Nassau, Paradise Island is a 277-hectare strip of the Bahamas dominated by the pink-and-cream Royal Towers of Atlantis, the 1998 mega-resort whose twin-arch Bridge Suite spans the two wings above the lagoon. Along the north shore, Cabbage Beach runs five kilometres of palm-fringed white sand, while Smith's Point Beach hides at the island's eastern end behind low dunes. Caribbean water holds between 27 and 29 °C81 and 84 °F from August through October, with Lynden Pindling International Airport about 30 minutes by road.
