About Rarotonga

The South Pacific's Cook Islands centre on Rarotonga, a 67 km² volcanic island ringed by a near-continuous fringing reef and crowned by Te Manga, a 652-metre jagged spire over the dramatic interior. Muri Beach scatters four small motus off the southeast coast, wadeable at low tide, while Titikaveka Beach on the south shore guards the calmest lagoon and richest snorkelling. Sea temperatures sit between 25 and 28 °C year-round, peaking at 27–28 °C in February and March; the airport lies under 25 minutes from any point.
