About Scheveningen
Scheveningen is The Hague's seafront district on the North Sea, anchored by the 382-metre Scheveningen Pier rebuilt in 2015 with a 45-metre Ferris wheel and a bungee tower at its tip. The main strand runs five kilometres past the 1885 Kurhaus Hotel, with Zuiderstrand quieter at the southern end toward Kijkduin and Noordstrand more open and dune-backed to the north. Sea temperatures peak at 17–19 °C63–66 °F from July through September; Amsterdam Schiphol airport sits 45 minutes away by the A4.
