About Saint-Tropez
On the French Riviera, Saint-Tropez wraps around its Vieux Port, where pastel fishermen's houses face megayachts beneath the hexagonal 16th-century Citadelle de Saint-Tropez, the hilltop fortress that once guarded the gulf. Five kilometres south on the Ramatuelle peninsula, Plage de Pampelonne strings together five kilometres of sand and clubby beach restaurants like Club 55, while Plage des Salins to the east stays smaller and more local. Sea temperatures hold between 23 and 25 °C from July through September, with Nice Côte d'Azur airport seventy-five minutes away by the A8.
