About Plage de Palombaggia
On Corsica's south-eastern shore, ten kilometres below Porto-Vecchio, Plage de Palombaggia traces three kilometres of pale pink-white sand around pink-red granite boulders smoothed by erosion, framed by twisted Aleppo pines and the offshore Îles Cerbicale nature reserve. The lagoon-shallow Plage de Santa Giulia opens in the next bay south, while Plage de Tamaricciu tucks between the two as a smaller granite cove named for its tamarisk trees. Sea temperatures climb between 24 and 26 °C from July through September, with Figari-Sud Corse airport about thirty minutes by road.
