The South China Sea washes the coasts of Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Philippines. In August our six beaches sit within 1.4 °C of one another, from 29.2 °C in Hong Kong to 30.6 °C at Ocean Flower Island. By February that gap opens to almost eight degrees: Pulau Lang Tengah holds 28.1 °C while Hong Kong falls to 20.2 °C.
