About Capri

Capri rises from the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrento Peninsula, its southeastern tip framed by the Faraglioni, three limestone stacks over 100 metres tall where Tiberius retired in 27 AD to build Villa Jovis. Marina Piccola on the south side offers a small pebble beach with direct views of the stacks, while Marina Grande by the northern harbour spreads a narrower strand alongside the ferry quay. Sea temperatures reach 25 to 26 °C from July through September, with Naples Capodichino airport about 75 minutes away by road and ferry.
