Where to go for warm seas in June

June brings a much wider Mediterranean swimming choice. The water around Mallorca, Croatia and the Greek islands warms compared with spring. Hurghada offers warmer water than Rovinj or Lindos in our June averages. For a trip with both beach days and evenings in an old town, start with the coast's character rather than chasing the highest number.

A bay, a promenade or an island?

Rovinj pairs an Istrian town with nearby swimming spots; Lindos on Rhodes adds sheltered bays and an acropolis above the village. Check the actual beach surface and shade if children will spend much of the day there. June also starts the Atlantic hurricane season, so Caribbean warmth should be weighed alongside seasonal weather information. It is a regional planning consideration, not a forecast that a storm will affect your trip.
